Connect with Southern Humboldt’s Favorite Attractions

King Range
The King Range National Conservation Area (NCA) is a spectacular meeting of land and sea as mountains thrust straight out of the surf with King Peak (4,088 feet) only 3- miles from the ocean.
The King Range NCA encompasses 68,000 acres along 35 miles of California’s north coast. The landscape was too rugged for highway building, giving the remote region the title of California’s Lost Coast. It is the Nation’s first NCA, designated in 1970.

Avenue of the Giants
This world-famous scenic drive is a 31-mile portion of old Highway 101, which parallels Freeway 101 with its 51,222 acres of redwood groves.
It is by far the most outstanding display of these giant trees in the entire 500 mile redwood belt and is accessible to all with convenient services provided along the way.

Briceland Vineyards
Our wines are expressive of site, vintage and our hand-made small lot wine making style. We are more than pleased to share our story, our experience of each vintage and info about our favorite vineyards, but the wine speaks for itself.

Anglers can also catch an abundance of ling cod, rock cod, halibut, albacore and surf perch, and can fish from the shore for perch or rock fish. Fishermen can also launch a boat from the cove, which Point Delgada protects from the northwesterly winds.

Paradise Royal Loop
The Paradise Royale trail system is an amazing way to experience the Lost Coast of Northern California.

Southern Humboldt Community Park
We believe the inherent beauty and value of the natural landscape is tied to our cultural history and weaves vitality and meaning into the fabric of our daily lives. Our goal is to create opportunities for recreation, culture, agriculture, education and celebration and to ensure the enjoyment of this rich, diverse land for generations to come and to conserve the Park’s scenic, historic and natural resources.
