Garberville, CA — The Southern Humboldt Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the return of one of the region’s most anticipated community events: The Southern Humboldt Heroes & Leaders Ball, taking place on Saturday, May 16th at the iconic Benbow Historic Inn.

After a short break, the Chamber Business Awards are making their return—this year in an exciting new format, combined with the 5th Annual Fireman’s Ball with a Humboldt Twist. This unforgettable evening will honor the people, businesses, and organizations that make Southern Humboldt a vibrant and resilient community.

The evening will celebrate Southern Humboldt’s dedicated volunteer firefighters while also recognizing excellence across the local business and nonprofit community through the Chamber Awards.

• Community celebration supporting local volunteer fire departments
• $15 from every ticket contributes to a grand prize awarded to one Volunteer Fire Department or Technical Rescue Team

Building on Community Impact
Last year’s event raised $4,200 for local fire departments, with the Phillipsville Volunteer Fire Department taking home the grand prize. Organizers aim to build on that success and continue strengthening support for local emergency services.
