Labor of Love Quilt Show

The 8th annual Labor of Love Quilt Show sponsored by the Shelter Cove Arts & Recreation Foundation will be held in Shelter Cove. SCARF and the Cove Quilters have gotten ambitious this year and we are hoping to display around 100 quilts this fall (our normal show is 50 quilts). We really need some help.
Quilts are the original American art form. A quilt can take up to 100 hours to design, piece and then quilt. Often a quilt is made for a specific person or task and the story enhances the quilt. They are passed down through families and often do not see the light of day and sit in a linen closet somewhere. It is a shame that these great pieces of art do not get displayed.
Please talk to your friends, and relatives so we can make our dream a reality and show our community and visitors this wonderful art form. We welcome quilts from anywhere in the country. There is also still time to break out your sewing machine and create the prize-winning quilt for 2022.
