Event Description:
Experience one of the Lost Coast’s most spectacular landscapes on this guided “Summit to Sea” hike hosted by Friends of the Lost Coast, Sanctuary Forest, and Lost Coast Adventure Tours. This approximately 6-mile one-way hike follows Horse Mountain Creek from the King Range National Conservation Area to Black Sands Beach, showcasing diverse ecosystems as you descend from forested mountain slopes to the rugged Pacific coastline.

Participants will meet at the Black Sands Beach parking area at 9:00 AM before carpooling to the Horse Mountain Creek Trailhead in King Peak Road. The guided hike concludes around 4:00 PM back at Shelter Cove.

Additional Information:

• Approximately 6-mile one-way hike
• Moderate to rigorous difficulty
• Advance RSVP required
• Bring plenty of water, lunch, and appropriate hiking gear
