Pine Needle Threadless Weaving

To register, come into the shop or email us at info@gardenofbeadin.com to reserve your spot. $70 per person —limited spaces available. Ages 10+

Workshop Overview
I’ll share the basics of sustainable collection, cleaning, and preparation of pine needles.

Participants will be guided through the process of starting the center base 3 times, then building the walls, and finish by closing the weave (if participants choose).

We’ll also explore cultures, both within the U.S. and around the world, that practice coiled basketry, and how this weaving tradition shows up in communities around the world.

Everyone will leave with a new weaving skill and a deeper appreciation for the artistry behind coiled baskets. I’ll also have bundles of pine needles available for anyone who wants to continue weaving at home.
