The Southern Humboldt Chamber of Commerce and The Benbow Historic Inn would like to recognize our local VOLUNTEER fire fighters and rescue teams for all the hard work and effort each organization puts forth into helping keep our community safe.  Fighting fires, saving lives and keeping the greater area of Southern Humboldt out of harms way is a tough job and requires countless hours and many hands!

The Chamber and the Benbow Historic Inn would like to show our appreciation and gratitude by bringing back the 2^nd Annual Fireman’s Ball with a Humboldt Twist!   This Annual event will be taking place this year on Saturday, March 14^th, 2020 and is a fundraising event geared toward helping raise monies that will go toward one chosen Southern Humboldt Fire Department at the end of the evening!

Here’s how it works:

All local Southern Humboldt fire departments, rescue organizations, community members and extended fire departments outside of Southern Humboldt are invited!

Each Southern Humboldt Fire Department that attends will be able to put the name of their department/organization into a hat.  One winner will be drawn from the hat at the end of the evening, taking home the proceeds!

Last year we were able to raise a whopping $5,124.00 which was awarded to the Phillipsville Volunteer Fire Department!  We are proud to announce that Hank Toberg from Phillipsville Fire will be drawing this year’s winner!

Tickets go on sale today at $50.00/person and are available at The Chamber office located at 782 Redwood Drive in Garberville.  $10.00 from each ticket will be put into a pot that will be going toward the winning department/organization at the end of the night!

There will be different raffles held during this event and 100% of the proceeds made from each raffle will go into the pot for the winner!

There will also be a couple of hot ticket items that will be announced that evening, so be sure to bring your wallets for a chance to win something great!  100% of the proceeds made on these hot ticket items will be put into the pot for the winner!

Rules:

• Must be a Southern Humboldt Fire Department/Rescue team to enter.
• Qualifying departments/Rescue teams must have a representative within the organization there, that they are representing (you cannot be a friend of the department, you have to be IN the department).
• Must be present to win.

Dress code:

• Semi-formal
