Tides Inn

Tides Inn

Made up of eight rooms, four suites, two minnie suites and two regular rooms, guests are surrounded by breathtaking unparalleled scenic views.

The Tides Inn of Shelter Cove is Northern California’s own little piece of paradise.  With the rugged coastline stretching for miles, the waves gently crashing against the soft sandy beaches, what better way to spend your day than collecting seashells along the shoreline.

A walk on the beach isn’t the only thing to do while you stay at the Inn.  Exploring tide pools, whale watching, golfing, back packing on adventurous trails, listening to live music at the worlds most remote brewery and dining at Mi Mochima restaurant, a local favorite, are just a few other things guests enjoy doing during their stay there.  If you are the more adventurous type, paragliding is absolutely unforgettable from this remote area.  With easy to access hills and the air-current just right, imagine how spectacular the view is from above!

Current managers Eric and Verna Kaai, fell in love with Shelter Cove, the Lost Coast and the Inn, and chose to move out to this beautifully remote destination location with no regrets!  They love being the managers and enjoy being apart of the community.  Eric enjoys kayaking on the ocean and plays an active role with the Shelter Cove fishing preservation.  So if you’re looking to book a fishing trip, he’s your go to guy for connections! They both love to end their day watching the sunset, the view never gets old.

The busy season for the Tides Inn starts in April and lasts until mid-November.  Be sure to book your stay in advance during the busy months!  If a winter getaway is more your style, check out their winter special – stay three nights and pay for two!

This cute and cozy little Inn along with the Lost Coast, were recently featured in the New York Times.  You can read up on the article by going to: https://www.nytimes.com/…/northern-california-lost-coast.ht…

The Tides Inn is open 7 days a week and is also a perfect wedding venue and has plenty of room for a reception.  The Inn can hold up to 5-6 tents on the back patio and can hold about 200 people.  The amazing backdrop of the ocean view is enchanting, perfect for a bride to be.  They’ve also got a secluded beach just below the Inn, perfect for an intimate wedding or elopement.
