Southern Humboldt Community Healthcare District (SHCHD), the primary healthcare provider in the region, operates Jerold Phelps Community Hospital.  We provide 24/7/365 emergency and acute care services, laboratory and radiology services, and a skilled nursing care unit. 

Our community’s Rural Health Clinic, the Southern Humboldt Community Clinic, sees thousands of patients every year.  Open Monday through Friday from 9am – 5pm, walk-in appointments are available daily.
