Welcome to the Community Credit Union of Southern Humboldt,
established in 1980. We are a not-for-profit but for service
financial cooperative. We are located in Garberville, in the
heart of the Redwoods. We are dedicated to providing our members
the highest level of financial services. Strong and growing,
we offer excellent borrowing and savings programs and are
dedicated to educating people to be wise consumers and smart
money managers.
CCU was formed to serve people who live, work or worship
in a geographic community. People who join a credit union
are called members and they are the institution’s owners.
So, instead of paying dividends to a group of stockholders,
earnings are returned to members in the form of lower rates
and fees, and higher savings account rates and expanded services.
