"Although the rodeo arena has remained in the same location for several years, many transformations have taken place.  The original wooden bleachers and arena fence have been replaced by the current steel and pipe construction.  Lights were  installed, allowing the rodeo events to be moved into the evening. The Bar-B-Que area and picnic tables add to the comfort, fun and entertainment available at the Garberville Rodeo.
The Garberville Rodeo Association was formed in 1973, taking over the production of the rodeo.  Since then the Rodeo Association Board has been filled by various members of the local community. "
Festivities include a Town Decorating Contest, parade, and "Rodeo in the Redwoods".
